Description

The Surge Tank Kit contains the replacement components that act as areservoir tohelp store and cool the coolant.

HOW IT WORKS

The pressure changes with the temperature as the coolant is heated or cooled in the cooling system. The surge tanks act as an extra reservoir to provide coolant to the radiator when levels go down; it also receives coolant from the radiator when the coolant level rises.

WHY IT MATTERS

The surge tank prevents the overpressuring of the radiator, preventingdamage to the tank and other cooling system components.
