Description
The Pressure Sensor monitors the exhaust back pressure.
HOW IT WORKS
The sensor receives exhaust back pressure and produces an electrical signal. This signal is based on the pressure it receives through a microprocessor. The sensor protects the exhaust system and the engine against high pressures by turning on warning lamps, logging fault codes, and possibly shutting the engine down.
WHY IT MATTERS
The pressure sensor protects the engine from high exhaust back pressure. If the high pressure is not correctly detected, severe damage to the exhaust system and the engine could occur.
