Description
The Temperature Sensor monitors theexhaust gas temperature andtransmits the data to the ECM to avoid potential catastrophic engine damage.
WHY IT MATTERS
The temperature sensor is designed to receive temperatures and produce an electrical signal. This signal is based on the temperature it receives through a microprocessor. The sensor protects the engine against abnormal temperatures by turning on warning lights, logging fault codes, and possibly shutting down the engine.
