Description

The Surge Tank works with the radiator to help store and cool the coolant.

WHY IT MATTERS

The pressure changes with the temperature as the coolant is heated or cooled. The surge tank acts as an extra reservoir to provide coolant to the radiator when levels go down; it also receives coolant from the radiator when the coolant level rises.
